    Product Introduction

    IEPAS02 is the AC-input power module used in the ABB Bailey AC Modular Power System. It accepts 120 or 240 VAC and supplies the regulated +5, +15, −15 and +24 VDC buses used by the cabinet power architecture.

    The module is rated for 130 W maximum output and one mounting slot. ABB documents compatible operation with the earlier IEPAS01 and IEPAF01 modules in the same cabinet, subject to the system loading, redundancy and power-entry design.

    Calculate every DC bus

    Use the installed module loads for +5, +15, −15 and +24 VDC. Maximum total wattage alone is not enough; each bus and the cabinet redundancy target must remain within the power-system design.

    Confirm source selection

    Verify the 120/240 VAC configuration, input protection and power-entry wiring before service. Record the normal and alternate sources where redundant feeds are installed.

    Restore N+1 promptly

    A cabinet may remain online after one module loss, but the redundant margin is gone. Treat replacement as a reliability action and investigate any concurrent bus alarm.

    Use qualified power procedures

    The manufacturer system supports module service features, but live power work is hazardous. Only trained personnel following ABB and site electrical-safety procedures should perform it.
