The Decanter Centrifuge for Mica Slurry Recovery is designed for
continuous solid-liquid separation, mica fines recovery, slurry
thickening, and process-water clarification.
It is suitable for mica powder processing, mica washing, mineral
beneficiation, grinding and classification slurry, flotation
tailings, and mica-containing wastewater. The centrifuge separates
fine mica particles from the liquid phase and produces thickened
mica solids for further filtration, drying, storage, or reuse.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works1. Mica Slurry Feeding
Mica slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed
pipe.
An agitated slurry tank is normally recommended upstream to prevent
settling and maintain stable feed concentration.
2. Centrifugal Sedimentation
Inside the high-speed rotating bowl, centrifugal force separates
mica solids from the liquid phase.
Mica particles move outward and form a solids layer against the
bowl wall, while clarified liquid remains closer to the center.
3. Continuous Solids Conveying
The internal screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential
speed relative to the bowl.
This movement transports settled mica solids toward the conical end
for continuous discharge.
4. Clarified Liquid Discharge
The separated liquid leaves through the liquid outlet.
It can be returned to washing, grinding, classification,
process-water recycle, or further wastewater treatment.
5. Thickened Mica Solids Discharge
The concentrated mica solids are discharged continuously from the
solids outlet.
Recovered mica slurry can be transferred to a filter press, vacuum
filter, dryer, storage tank, or further classification process.

film pieces should usually be screened or mechanically dewatered
