Flotation Separator
Flotation Separator is the abbreviation of flotation beneficiation
machine, which refers to the mechanical equipment to complete the
flotation process. In the flotation separator, the ore slurry
treated with the added agent is stirred and aerated to selectively
fix some of the ore particles on the air bubbles; it floats to the
surface of the ore slurry and is scraped out to form a foam
product, and the remaining part remains in the ore slurry. In order

flotation separator.
Working Principle of Flotation Separator
The flotation separator is driven by the motor triangle belt to
drive the impeller to rotate, which generates negative pressure due
to centrifugation. On the one hand, sufficient air is mixed with
the pulp, while on the other hand, the pulp is mixed with the
medicine, while the foam is refined, so that the mineral adheres to
the foam. Floating to the surface of the pulp again forms
mineralized foam. Adjust the height of the shutter and control the
liquid level so that useful foam is scraped out by the scraper.
Principle of Selecting Floatation Separator:
(1) An appropriate flotation separator should be selected according
to the nature of the ore (such as selectability, selected particle
size, density, grade, pulp, pH, etc.). In the case where the ore is
relatively easy to select and the aeration volume is not required,
a mechanical stirring flotation machine can be selected. In the
case of coarse ore beneficiation, KYF, BS-K flotation machines and
CLF coarse flotation separators are available. When the ore is easy
to be selected, the selection size is fine, the grade is high, and
the pulp Ph is low, a relatively high ore-rich flotation column
can be selected (especially suitable for beneficiation operations).
(2) The flotation separator with corresponding specifications
should be selected according to the scale of the plant. Generally
speaking, large-scale flotation plants should use large-scale
flotation machines, medium and small plants should use medium- or
small-scale flotation machines, and the specifications and
quantities of flotation machines should be determined through
technical and economic comparisons.
(3) The selection operation is mainly to improve the concentrate
grade. The flotation foam layer should be thinner in order to
separate the gangue. It is not appropriate to use a large-scale
flotation machine. Therefore, the flotation machine used for the
selection operation should be used with coarse and The flotation
machine used in the selection operation is different.
