Description of Keysight Agilent 8711B
The 8711B RF Network Analyzer 300kHz to 1300MHz frequency range,
1Hz frequency resolution, 0dBm to 16dBm power range, 100dB of
system dynamic range, Integrated transmission / reflection test
set, Built-in 3.5 inch floppy disk drive, HPIB.
The 8711B economy network analyzers provide speed, accuracy, and
measurement versatility in a compact, integrated instrument for
high-volume RF component manufacturing, inspection, and
maintenance. An integrated synthesized source and transmission/
reflection test set enable complete swept frequency
characterization of RF components with a single connection. For
testing narrowband devices, the internal synthesized source
provides a fast (50 ms/sweep), stable (1 Hz resolution) stimulus.
Calculate and display specified device characteristics in real
time. Eight markers per channel, marker search, tracking,
bandwidth, and a variety of math functions speed component testing.

Data markers
Each display channel has eight markers. Markers are coupled between
channels. Any one of eight markers can be the reference marker for
delta marker operation. Annotation for up to four markers can be
displayed at one time.
Marker functions
Markers can be used for various functions: marker search, mkr to
max, mkr to min, mkr → target, mkr bandwidth and notch. Also with
user-defined target values, mkr → center, mkr → reference, mkr →
electrical delay are available. The tracking function enables
continuous update of marker search values on each sweep. For
testing cable TV broadband amplifiers, the slope and flatness
functions enable rapid tuning. Marker statistics enable measurement
of the mean, peak-to-peak and standard deviation of the data
between two markers.
Storage
Internal memory 400 Kbytes of nonvolatile storage are available to
store up to 100 instrument states via the save/recall menu.
Instrument states include all control settings, active limit lines,
memory trace data, active calibration coefficients, and custom
display titles.
