    Titanium dioxide slurry often contains fine pigment particles, residual acids, soluble salts, treatment chemicals, or wash liquor carried over from upstream processing. The decanter centrifuge separates the TiO₂ solids from the liquid phase continuously, allowing the slurry to be thickened before further washing, filtration, drying, coating, or milling.

    How the Decanter Centrifuge Works

    1. TiO₂ Slurry Conditioning

    Titanium dioxide slurry enters an agitated buffer tank or washing tank before centrifugation.

    Where washing is required, fresh water or recycled wash liquid is added to dilute residual soluble salts, acids, or impurities carried with the pigment slurry.

    2. Controlled Slurry Feeding

    The conditioned slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed pipe.
