1.Introduction to DTRO
DTRO stands for Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis, and the core of the disc
tube reverse osmosis system is the disc tube membrane column. The
DTRO membrane column is specifically designed for high
concentration water sources and has an open channel, suitable for
various water sources. Due to the spacious channel (1.3mm) between
the membrane and the guide plate, the SDI value of the wastewater
entering the membrane group can reach 20. The special structure and
hydraulic design of DTRO components make the membrane assembly easy
to clean, avoiding scaling and other membrane fouling.
The structure of DTRO membrane module is completely different from
traditional roll type membrane. The membrane module adopts an open
flow channel, and the feed liquid enters the pressure vessel
through the inlet. From the other end of the membrane module
through the channel between the guide plate and the shell, at the
other end flange, the feed liquid enters the guide plate through 8
channels. The processed liquid flows quickly through the filter
membrane at the shortest distance, then reverses 180 ° to the other
membrane surface, and flows into the next guide plate through the
slot in the center of the guide plate, thus forming a double "S" -
shaped path from the circumference of the guide plate to the center
of the circle, then to the circumference, and finally to the center
of the circle on the membrane surface. The concentrated liquid
finally flows out from the inlet flange.
The core of the DTRO system is a disc tube membrane column, which
is formed by tightly assembling a set of hydraulic discs and
reverse osmosis membranes into a cylindrical shape through
stainless steel pipes with screw threads at both ends. The membrane
column has a diameter of 200 millimeters and a length of 1500
millimeters, consisting of 210 guide disks and 209 membranes.
The DTRO system includes: disc tube reverse osmosis membrane,
high-pressure pump, online booster pump, pressure regulating valve,
inlet solenoid valve, concentrated water flow meter, purified water
flow meter, inlet pressure gauge, outlet pressure gauge, switch and
indicator light, online pH, conductivity tester, etc. It is an
automatic, manual electric control and PLC self-contained system,
and the central control computer and on-site touch screen of the
equipment can achieve control of the treatment process.
2. The progressiveness of the disc tube reverse osmosis membrane
treatment system lies in:
2.1 Due to the special fluid dynamics design of the DTRO membrane
group, it is suitable for treating wastewater with high turbidity
and high sand content coefficient. For a typical roll type reverse
osmosis system, the sludge concentration index (SDI) entering the
membrane group wastewater cannot exceed 3, and the sand content
coefficient cannot exceed 3. Due to the spacious channel between
the DTRO membrane and the guide plate, the SDI value of the
wastewater entering the membrane group can reach 20, and the sand
content coefficient can also reach 40.
2.2The DTRO membrane group has less fouling, reduces membrane
fouling, and prolongs the lifespan of the reverse osmosis membrane.
The special structure and hydraulic design of DTRO make the
membrane assembly easy to clean, avoiding scaling and other
membrane fouling, thereby extending the lifespan of the membrane.
The membrane used for DTRO can have a lifespan of up to 3-5 years,
or even longer, which is not achievable for typical roll type
reverse osmosis treatment systems.
2.3The DTRO processing system is easy to install and maintain, easy
to operate, and has a high degree of automation. Due to the fact
that the pipelines and spare parts used in the DTRO system are
mostly standard components, installation and maintenance are
relatively convenient.
A first-class automated operating system: The longevity of a system
is inseparable from the quality of its operational management mode.
The system is highly sensitive to various technical indicators such
as operating pressure, medium conductivity, pH value, and pressure
difference. A good operating system and management mode can extend
the service life of the membrane and reduce operating costs.
