Instrument Introduction:

The UL 1685 Wire and Cable Combustion Test Device is an instrument used to evaluate the ability of a single or bundled cable to suppress flame propagation under specified conditions, meeting the testing requirements of UL 1685, IEEE 383, and IEEE 1202.

The sample is burned in a specified volume of space for 20 minutes. During this 20 minute period, the cable sample is ignited by a vertical flame with a theoretical value of 20 kW (70000 Btu/hr) to evaluate the flame suppression performance of the cable.

Main features:

Test space size: 2438(L)×2438(W)×3353 (H) mm, volume: 19.93m³, internal ground area: 5.94m²;

Thermocouples and bidirectional wind speed probes are used to measure temperature and gas flow velocity in exhaust pipes;

The bidirectional wind speed probe is used to accurately measure the vortex velocity of high-temperature combustion gases generated during the combustion process in the exhaust pipe;

The tray size is 305 (L) × 76 (W) × 2438mm (H), the transverse width of the steel ladder is 25 ± 6mm, and the longitudinal span is 229mm;

Belt type propane burner spray lamp, equipped with Venturi mixer, meeting IEC60332-3;

Quality flow controller ensures stable airflow even under changes in gas supply and air pressure;

Using a data acquisition board to accurately collect and measure the temperature of internal components and the flame temperature of the burner;

Gas and air can be controlled to open and close through solenoid valves;

Smoke density measurement system

Paramagnetic oxygen heat release rate testing system

The solenoid valve and igniter can be manually controlled through buttons on the control panel, and in emergency situations, the instrument power can be turned off (including the computer)
