Product Introduction
The TAG-8500 De-Energized Cable Phase Identification Tester is designed to identify and verify A, B, and C phase conductors of
de-energized cables before commissioning or grid connection.
The system uses a transmitter to inject different pulse signals
into the three-phase conductors and a receiver to identify the
corresponding phase at the remote cable end. It is suitable for new
cable installation, long-distance cable lines, switchgear, and
pre-commissioning inspections.

No. TAG-8500 is designed for de-energized cables only. Always confirm that the cable is completely de-energized before
testing.
Can TAG-8500 identify phases at the remote cable end?
Yes. The transmitter sends phase-specific pulse signals through the
cable, and the receiver identifies the corresponding A, B, or C
phase at the remote end.
Why is loop resistance monitored during testing?
