U18A Without Motor Linear Actuator For Multi Point Linkage Solar Tracker
Motor-Free Actuator Solution for Multi-Point Linkage Solar Tracking Systems
This page presents a motor-free linear actuator solution for multi-point linkage solar tracker systems. Instead of installing a separate motor on every actuator, the linkage structure can be designed so that one external drive operates multiple linked rows.
The current project configuration provides a 12,000N push and pull rated load with 4mm/r movement, IP65 protection and installation dimensions based on the required stroke and tracker structure.
Final configuration and availability should be confirmed according to the project load, linkage arrangement, stroke and mechanical interface before quotation.

Designed for Multi-Point Linkage Solar Trackers
In a multi-point linkage solar tracker, several mechanical adjustment points can be connected through a shared transmission structure. This allows the tracker system to use an external drive to operate multiple linked actuator positions instead of installing an individual motor at every point.
This structure can be considered for solar tracker designs where synchronized mechanical movement is required across multiple rows or linkage points.
Motor-Free Structure for External Drive Integration
The actuator itself does not include an integrated electric motor. Mechanical input is provided through the drive shaft and transferred through the actuator to create linear movement.
For new projects, the drive interface, torque requirement, linkage structure and number of connected actuator points should be evaluated together with the tracker design.
This makes the actuator different from conventional motor-driven solar tracker linear actuators, where each actuator normally contains its own motor and electrical drive components.
Load Capability for Linked Tracker Structures
The current project configuration is rated for 12,000N push and pull load, with a limit load of 20,000N.
Maximum static load can reach 50,000N under the 500mm-stroke condition stated in the product specification.
For a multi-point linkage system, actuator selection should not be based on load alone. The number of linkage points, mechanical transmission arrangement, stroke, installation dimensions, tracker geometry and drive torque should be evaluated together.
Installation & Mechanical Interface
The current configuration uses a minimum installation dimension of Stroke + 250mm ±2mm, with a 15 × 15 drive shaft and Ø25mm front-end mounting hole.
Before project evaluation, please confirm the required stroke, mounting position, drive connection and linkage geometry.

Multi-Point Linkage Solar Tracker Applications
Motor-free linkage actuators can be evaluated for solar tracker structures requiring mechanical movement to be transferred across multiple connected adjustment points.
The final actuator and linkage configuration should be selected according to the tracker structure, required load, stroke, drive arrangement and installation geometry.
