1. Self-Serve Ticket Printers

or buttoned ticket printer and select the service category they
require. A ticket is printed and the waiting time begins. This
virtual queuing process takes the patient out of a physical line
and allows them to relax while they wait their turn. It also
guarantees service in a prompt, fair, and efficient manner.
2. Self-Serve Kiosks
Self-serve kiosks are another form of an automated front-end
component of the patient flow management process that allows
patients to place themselves into a virtual service queue. A card
scanner or card swipe can be added to the kiosk. Kiosks are
interactive and an ideal method for delivering patient surveys and
providing patients useful or educational information.

3. Tickets
Printed tickets include a queue number and other information such
as the current wait times or special offers. Tickets can also be
bar- coded so they can be scanned for information and check in.
4. Calling Patients
An available staff member calls the next patient using the Qmatic
application. This automatically ends the wait time and begins the
transaction time.
5. Informational Displays
Staff call the next patient using the Qmatic application or
workstation terminal. This action signals the LED displays to flash
the ticket number for the next patient to be served and directs
them where to go for service.
6. Audible Alerts
Integrating an audible alert system with the patient management
solution informs patients when their number is called and alerts
staff when preset service level thresholds are exceeded.
7. Video Queue Monitor
Integrated video monitors alert patients when it is their turn for
service. The monitors can display information such as wait times, public announcements,
entertaining content, and advertisments, all of which are proven
methods to shorten perceived wait times.
8. Statistics and Reporting
A Qmatic system collects key metrics about wait and transaction
times, number of patientswaiting and being served, and overall
patient flow volume for any specified period of time over a day,
week, month, and year. With this valuable data,management can
accurately predict traffic patterns, patient needs, staffing needs,
and begin to identify operational bottlenecks and weaknesses with
the proof necessary to make proactive changes.
