The second axle is the output shaft in a car gearbox, also known as the output shaft, which is directly connected to the drive shaft (transmission shaft) and is responsible for outputting torque and speed to the differential to drive the vehicle. This shaft is connected to the transfer case in four-wheel drive models and to the final drive in front wheel drive (FF) models. Its structure includes gears, synchronizers, and differential components. The second shaft serves as the power output shaft, with each gear transmitting power through splines or needle roller bearings, and the reverse gear changing the transmission direction through an idler mechanism. When the engine is longitudinally mounted, the two shafts are designed to be integrated with the bevel gear of the main reducer; When placed horizontally, it is connected to a cylindrical gear.
