Chemlok 487 A/B is a two-component adhesive specifically designed

features fast drying, durability, and versatility.
Product Introduction
This product consists of Chemlok 487A (clear to yellow liquid) and
Chemlok 487B (clear to cloudy water-thin liquid), which must be
mixed in specific ratios before use. The mixed adhesive can be
applied by dip, brush, or spray methods, and the dry film thickness
should be between 17.8-25.4 microns for optimal bonding. The mixed
working life is approximately one week at room temperature.

Product Special Attributes
Chemlok 487 adhesive provides a strong, durable bond that, in many
instances, has strength equal to or greater than the elastomer
being molded. Its fast-drying特性 is suitable for spray application
over large areas, accelerating solvent evaporation and shortening
drying time. For specific substrates like glass, the use of Chemlok
144 primer is recommended prior to adhesive application. The
components are moisture-sensitive and should be stored at 21-27°C.
If the 487A component develops a gel-like consistency, it can be
restored to a homogeneous liquid by heating above 49°C and shaking.

Chemlok 487 is widely used in automotive parts (e.g., seals,
damping pads), electronic equipment (e.g., waterproof seals, cable
joints), household appliances (e.g., handles, gaskets), and
industrial products (e.g., conveyor belts, hoses) to achieve
reliable bonding of TPEs (such as Santoprene®, Kraton) to metal
inserts or plastic components. It performs excellently in insert
molding processes and can withstand harsh environments.
