Bolts with performance class 4.6 are defined as:
1, the nominal tensile strength of the bolt material up to 400Mpa
level;
2. The tensile strength ratio of the bolt material is 0.6;
3. Nominal yield strength of bolt material is 400×0.6= 240Mpa level
High strength bolts with performance class 10.9, the material of
which after heat treatment can reach:
1. The nominal tensile strength of the bolt material reaches
1000Mpa level;
2. The tensile strength ratio of bolt material is 0.9;
3. Nominal yield strength of bolt material is 1000×0.9= 900Mpa
level
The meaning of bolt performance grade is the international
standard, the same performance grade of bolts, regardless of the
difference between its material and origin, its performance is the
same, the design can only choose the performance grade.
Bolts for steel structure connection can be divided into more than
10 grades, such as 3.6, 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9, 12.9,
etc., among which the bolts of 8.8 or above are made of low carbon
alloy steel or medium carbon steel and subjected to heat treatment
(quenching, tempering), which are generally called high strength
bolts, and the rest are generally called ordinary bolts.The bolt
performance grade label consists of two parts, which respectively
represent the nominal tensile strength value and the yield strength
ratio of the bolt material.

Hot upsetting process:
Hot heading: refers to the raw materials after heating for
stamping, the specific use of no special requirements, under normal
circumstances are required to use cold heading, because of such a
surface finish, material composition will be more compact, there is
a larger workpiece often used hot heading processing.
