Working Principle of Magnetic Separator:
After the ore slurry flows into magnetic separator through the ore
feeding device, the ore particles enter the ore feeding area of
magnetic separator in a loose state with the water flow in the ore
spray pipe. The magnetic ore particles are magnetically aggregated
to form "magnetic clusters" or "magnetic chains". The "magnetic
clusters" or "magnetic chains" are subjected to magnetic force in
the pulp and move toward the magnetic poles, and are adsorbed on
the cylinder. Because the polarities of the magnetic poles are
alternately arranged along the direction of rotation of the
cylinder, and are fixed during work, the "magnetic group" or
"magnetic chain" is magnetically stirred due to the alternation of
the magnetic poles when the cylinder rotates and is mixed.
Non-magnetic minerals such as gangue in "magnetic clusters" or
"magnetic chains" fall off during turning, and the "magnetic
clusters" or "magnetic chains" that are eventually absorbed on the
surface of the cylinder are concentrates. The concentrate moves
with the cylinder to the weakest magnetic force at the edge of the
magnetic system, and is discharged into the concentrate tank under
the action of the flushing water sprayed from the unloading water
pipe. If it is a full magnetic roller, the unloading is performed
with a brush roller. Non-magnetic or weak magnetic minerals are
left in the pulp and discharged out of the magnetic separator with
the pulp.
Structures of Magnetic Separator:
This magnetic separator is suitable for wet magnetic separation of
magnetite, pyrrhotite, roasting ore, ilmenite and other materials
with a particle size of 0.1-3mm, and is also used for iron removal
of coal, non-metallic ore, building materials and other materials.

The magnetic system of this machine is made of high-quality ferrite
material or compounded with rare-earth magnetic steel. The average
magnetic induction intensity of the tube surface is 100 ～ 600mT.
The magnetic separator has the advantages of simple structure,
large processing capacity, convenient operation and easy
maintenance. Structural characteristics of magnetic separator: Wet
permanent magnet drum magnetic separator is mainly composed of a
cylinder, a magnetic system, a tank and a transmission part. The
cylinder is welded into a cylinder by 2-3mm stainless steel coils,
the end cap is made of cast aluminum, and the cylinder is connected
with stainless steel screws. The motor passes the reducer to drive
the cylinder for rotary motion. The magnetic system is an open type
magnetic system, which is housed in a cylinder.
