1. Application

The analysis of Hydrogen in Molten Aluminium is important and essential due to the fact that Hydrogen has high affinity

to get absorbed in Molten Aluminium. At the same time, when Aluminium solidifies, more or less all the dissolved Hydrogen

is released. As Hydrogen gas leaves the solidifying metal, it leaves tracks in the metal in the form of porosity.

Such porous Aluminium castings are not acceptable in the industry for obvious reasons.

To avoid this kind of porosity, it is important to degas the metal before it is poured into moulds for solidifying.

It is therefore important to determine the extent of Hydrogen present in liquid Aluminium.

The hydrogen analyzer, which works on the Straube-Preiffer test principle (decompression solidification test method),

is used to qualitatively measure the content of hydrogen in molten aluminum. A decompression solidification test is

conducted to make a solidification sample of molten aluminum under the conditions of decompression (a vacuum degree

determined according to the technological requirements). Subsequently, the sample is analyzed by various methods to

qualitatively determine the content of hydrogen in molten aluminum in an indirect way. It can be used for quality control

during aluminum alloy casting and for smelting detection.

2. Using Envrionment

---There is no conductive dust, explosive gas and corrosive gas that can seriously damage metal and insulation. All electrical
installations should not be damaged by physical and chemical operations (eg, thermal effects of the environment, moisture, etc.)

during normal operation.
