By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega169A/169PA/329A/329PA/3290A/3290PA/649A/649P/6490A/6490P achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz allowing the system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed.
