The rain test box is suitable for external lighting and signal
devices and automobile lamp shell protection, can provide realistic
simulation of electronic products and components during
transportation and use may be subjected to a variety of environment
such as water and spray test. In order to detect the waterproof
performance of various products.
Rain test box is mainly used in electronic, electrical, aerospace,
military and other scientific research units of external lighting,
signal devices and car lamp shell protection test.
Waterproofing test class:
There are waterproof testing requirements for portable, outdoor and
automotive electronics. IEC, MIL, ETSI and SAE have formulated
corresponding testing requirements internationally.
IEC/EN60529 Waterproofing is divided into 9 classes (Class 0 to
Class 8), waterproofing classes (e.g. IPX4- Waterproofing class 4)
:
Level 0: completely waterproofing without protection
Level 1: Vertical dripping should have no harmful effect
Level 2: When each vertical plane of the case is tilted within the
range of 15°, the vertical dripping shall have no harmful effect
Level 3: Water is sprayed within 60° of each vertical plane,
without harmful effects
Level 4: Splashing the shell in all directions has no harmful
effect
Level 5: Spraying water in all directions to the enclosure has no
harmful effect
Level 6: Spraying water strongly in all directions to the enclosure
has no harmful effect
Level 7: The water intake into the shell will not reach the harmful
degree after immersion in the water under the specified pressure
for the specified time
Level 8: The water intake of the casing will not reach harmful
Level after continuous diving under conditions agreed by the
manufacturer and the user (which shall be harsher than Level 7)
Level 9: High voltage test
