Application
A gear motor is a mechanical device used to increase/decrease by
slowing down/increasing torque. It consists of two or more gears,
one of which is driven by an electric motor. The output speed of
the gear motor is inversely proportional to the gear ratio. Gear
motors are often preferred in constant speed applications, such as
conveyors and cranes, where they can provide increased torque. The
load torque of DC gear motor has a direct relationship with the
speed and current, the speed decreases linearly with the increase
of the load, and the current increases linearly.
