What are the characteristics of hypoid gears?
The hypoid large and small gears are eccentrically processed,
similar to spiral gears, and the meshing principle is very complex.
The hypoid gear counter axis has an offset distance, which makes
the transmission design arrangement more flexible and also improves
the strength of the small wheel. The small wheel of the hypoid gear
pair has a larger helix angle, which enables a greater degree of
coincidence when meshing, and the transmission is smoother.
