The hydrophilic PVDF syringe filters are composed of premium polyvinylidene filter membrane and polypropylene housing materials. These disc filters are color-coded for easy identification and offer numerous exceptional performance advantages. The PVDF filters are specifically designed to meet the needs of various applications, including HPLC analysis and filtration of organic solvents and chemicals. PVDF membrane Syringe filters can effectively filter out low levels of UV-absorbing extractables. This feature makes them ideal for use in HPLC systems, where maintaining a clean and free-flowing system is crucial for accurate and reliable results.In addition, these filters are hydrophilic, meaning they have a high affinity for water molecules. This characteristic eliminates the need for pre-wetting, simplifying the process of installation and minimizing the risk of contamination. Furthermore, their maximum throughput ensures efficient operation in high-throughput analytical instruments. Another feature of PVDFdisc filters is their low hold-up volume which helps to minimize the amount of time required to equilibrate the system between sample injections and subsequent analyses, improving overall efficiency and reducing downtime. PVDF disc filters are also characterized by low protein binding capabilities, making them ideal for applications requiring high protein recovery. However, they should not be used for filtration of acetone, DMF, DMSO, or strong bases due to their limited compatibility with these substances.
