Founded in 2003, Shandong Nanhai Airbag Engineering Co., Ltd. (“Nanhai”) is a full-service provider of airbags and pneumatic fenders, covering R&D, manufacture and distribution. Our airbag products are used for ship launching, buoyancy, and heavy lifting and moving with remarkable advantages over traditional steel-based methods. For example, in 2007 we moved, with our airbags, an ancient sunken ship weighting 5,600 tons of the Song Dynasty named “Nanhai No. 1” for 400 meters horizontally from the beach to its permanent exhibition site within only 2 days, which was a sensational accomplishment to the world. Another example of our technological superiority is that our buoyance airbag can produce 30 tons of net buoyancy per ton of rubber vs. only 2 tons of net buoyance per ton using steel buoyancy tank. Moreover, our buoyancy airbag is reusable up to 50 times in contrast with steel buoyancy tank for only one-time use
Having passed the QMS certifications of BV and ISO 9001, our products have been exported to more than 40 countries and regions around the world, being widely used in the fields of ports, ocean engineering, ships and tunnels. Last but not the least, Nanhai is a qualified vendor of airbags and related products to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (“CNOOC”).
