Carbon steel self-tapping screws are classified into grades ranging from 4.8 to 12.9 based on their strength. For example, screws in the 8.8 grade have a tensile strength greater than or equal to 640MPa. On the other hand, stainless steel screws are commonly found in the 304 and 410 series.
