Self tapping threaded insert has external ,internal thread and cutting slots. They are ideally suited for the fast repair of torn and damaged threads.So that the same screw size can be used again.
302 Type:It is recommended for most application cases. In some materials,they provide perfect specific a screw thread lock effect. They provide permanent wear-resistant threads in a wide range of materials, from tough to tap, high strength steels to brittle plastics.
307/308 Type:
They are used for materials with difficult cuting
properties. This insert has a thick wall and the cutting force is ditributed over
three utting edges.
307 type is particularly suitable where minimal material thicknesses are involved
337/338 Type:
This insert are with three chip reservois. Used
primarily wherever only a small amount of chips may be permitted
to occur during the tapping process.
