HDI PCBS have high density properties, including laser micropores, sequential laminated structures, thin wires, and high-performance thin materials. This increased density allows for more functions per unit area. Differences Between HDI And Standard PCB


HDI essentially provides better signal integrity performance than non-HDI because all stray capacitors and inductors are reduced when using small blind and buried holes. Since there are no stubs, the impedance of the microhole is close to the linear impedance. The stray capacitance of a normal pass hole is much higher, which results in a greater impedance discontinuity than a micropass hole.
