IMD Windows product features:

This is an IMD panel with visible white symbol sensing buttons, with a high gloss finish on the surface. It is printed on the membrane using screen technology, and a layer of adhesive is printed on the back of the membrane. This layer of adhesive is transparent, in order to bond more firmly with the plastic during injection molding. Due to the need for transparent white characters, the plastic material at the bottom must be made of transparent or semi transparent material. Of course, due to the fact that the surface membrane can only withstand a temperature of around 300 degrees during the injection molding process, the IMD process has limitations in selecting plastic materials, requiring the use of raw materials that can be used for low-temperature injection molding, such as low-temperature PC, low-temperature ABS, etc. This process is not easy to fade, wear-resistant and not easily scratched, and can make the product form as a whole without the need for too many molds, saving the production process.

In Mold Decoration panel process introduction:

In Mold Decoration(IMD): use PET film coated on the surface as the carrier to print ink pattern layer, adhesive and ink curing on the printing surface. Then it is heated and baked for hot pressing forming and trimming. Put the shaped PET film into the injection mold cavity through manual or mechanical hand to fill the plastic, and melt the adhesive to bond the PET film with the ink pattern layer to form a whole with the plastic under high temperature.
