Operator Training Requirements
- Ensure all forklift operators receive comprehensive training
- Conduct regular pallet quality inspections
- Use GMA-style wooden or plastic pallets exclusively
- Verify no loose veneer or structural damage on pallets
- Check product loads for overhang and secure loose cartons
- Confirm load weight remains below rated capacity limits
Loading Procedures
- Lift pallet load 3-4 inches above first cart, center placement on cart, then exit system slowly
- Align subsequent pallets with previous load base, gently pushing existing pallets backward
- Final pallet sits directly on push-back rail behind pallet stop
Unloading Procedures
- Center forklift with front pallet, lift 3-4 inches to clear obstructions
- Extract pallet slowly, allowing carts to slide forward at controlled speed
- Repeat process for remaining pallets in system
