Description :

Sink float separation tank is an essential machine for washing and separating mixed plastics. It's an effective machine commonly used in PET bottle recycling plant due to its unique ability to separate PET plastic (bottles)from PP and PE plastic (like bottle caps and labels)

When filled with waters in the tanks,The material with density lower than water density will be float,such as the PP and PE. The material with density higher than the water density will sink down,like the PET, PVC,PVB, stones,dust,glasses,metals ect. We could separate main material with other types efficiently. Meanwhile, after washed by large amount of water, plastic materials will get more clean with this processing. Washing rollers equipped will help improve cleaning effect and pushing material forward to next step. In PET line, the PET flakes sink down will be discharge out with screw feeder from bottom.

Except the support frame and platform, All the material used in the tank body and rotating drums are all made of stainless steel

Applications and Function:

PET recycling line

In PET bottle recycling plant, The PET bottles will be curshed in to flakes which will mixed with PP PE labesl or caps . Luckily, PET flakes could be easily separated from this sink float separtion tank. Cause PET has a density higher than water which will quickly find it's way to the bottom of tank while the PP and PE plastics remains float on water top.

Film or rigid flakes made from PP and PE plastic floats on the top while varies contaminants such as dirt ,rocks, metals and glass sink to the bottom which will collected via horizontal screw and lifting screw conveyor.
