Operational Guidelines
- Before running the drill bit, ensure the well bottom is clean, free of grit, and without metal debris
- Verify thread connection screws are intact and nozzles are properly installed
- Run in hole steadily, avoiding stress and preventing drilling during descent
- Use large displacement on the last joint to start the rotary table and maintain reaming to bottom, thoroughly washing the well to prevent nozzle clogging
- Contact bottom hole with light pressure and slow rotation: small drilling pressure, low speed, large displacement, small torque, with speed maintained at 40-60 rev/min for at least 30 minutes
- Determine optimal weight on bit and speed based on actual formation conditions
- Maintain smooth operation during drilling with uniform drill feeding; avoid sharp lifting/releasing, poor drill string braking, or free fall
- Immediately lift the drill for inspection if progress stops, pump pressure fluctuates significantly, penetration rate decreases suddenly, or torque increases
