Cable Rollers & Cable Pulling Up To 33kV - Notes
Straight horizontal power cable runs should be supported on free running straight cable rollers, typically straight cable roller for cables up to 125mm diameter.
Where cables need to be pulled into narrow underground cable trenches, narrow cable rollers are recommended for cables up to 76mm diameter.
The cable roller spacings required depend on cable type being installed and the pulling tension along the route. lead-in cable rollers are used to support cables over the entire cable drum width immediately before being pulled into the cable trench.
Corner cable rollers are used to guide power cables through bends in the cable route. ML5 manhole cable rollers are designed to be placed at the end of the manhole or cable pit entrance to ease underground cable installations.
