ASTM D648 Plastic Testing Machine - Heating Deformation Resistance Test
Model RS-8233 plastic testing machine performs heating deformation resistance testing according to ASTM D648-2007 standards. This precision instrument measures the temperature at which plastic materials deform under specific load conditions.
Testing Methodology
The testing procedure involves placing the specimen on two supporting points and applying heat at a controlled rate of 2°C/min. When the center of the specimen deflects to a specific position (0.26mm for plastic materials, 0.25-0.33mm for hard rubber), the temperature is recorded as the deformation temperature. The machine also performs flexural strength tests under normal conditions (23°C for hard plastics).
