Core Lifter Functionality
Plastic core lifters prevent water-bearing sands from entering hollow stem auger I.D. during drilling while allowing sampling tubes to pass through uninterrupted.
Plastic Basket Retainer
Installed in standard or tab sampler ends to ensure soil samples remain securely in place during withdrawal from boreholes. Compatible with both standard heavy-duty and tab-type samplers.
Core Catcher Retainer Basket Features
Used with retainer basket bits to significantly improve sample recovery in loose geological formations. Available in soft, medium, and hard plastic variants with flexible fingers that open to admit soil into core barrels or split spoon samplers, then securely retain samples without leakage.
Ideal for sandstone layers, broken rock formations, loose cores that cannot be completely corrugated, or soft formations. Dramatically enhances collection efficiency and coring performance.
