Huizhou Ice Bricks are designed for fresh food, biopharmaceuticals and other temperature sensitive items during cold chain transportation. They are used to maintain the right temperature for products for a certain length of time during cold chain transportation.

Ice bricks are also known as ice pack freezers, ice bottles, ice cubes or PCM ice packs in different countries. They are also an alternative cold source to our typical ice packs and serve the same function. The main difference between them is the external material, one is a thinner bag and the other is a durable thick brick with an attractive shape, usually the ice brick can hold more content to make the cold last longer.

Ice bricks utilize phase change material (PCM) as the internal refrigerant and an outer HDPE box. With years of experience in cold chain temperature control packaging, our ice bricks are carefully designed for better temperature control, higher quality and more intimate for customer site use.

The size and thickness of the ice bricks as well as the internal PCM temperature can be customized according to different situations.

Product Function

For the fresh food sector, they are usually used in conjunction with refrigerated containers for the transportation of fresh, perishable and heat-sensitive products, such as: meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables, prepared foods, frozen foods, ice cream, chocolate, candies, cookies, cakes, cheeses, flowers, milk, and so on.

For the pharmaceutical sector, ice bricks are often used in conjunction with pharmaceutical coolers to maintain the stable temperatures required for the transportation of biochemical reagents, medical samples, veterinary drugs, plasma, vaccines, and more.

Ice bricks are also great for outdoor use if placed in lunch bags, cooler bags to keep food or drinks cool while hiking, camping, picnicking, boating and fishing.

Additionally, if frozen ice cubes are placed in the refrigerator, they can save electricity or release heat to keep the refrigerator at a cooler temperature when the power goes out.

3. How to use it?
(1). It needs to absorb water and should be frozen before use.
(2). For best performance, soak it in water for about 15 minutes before use and make sure it is completely frozen in the refrigerator, freezer or cold storage room.
(3). If there is leakage or damage, rinse it with water and discard the packaging.
(4). Hydrate dry ice bags can be reused within the validity period.
(5). If the hydrate dry ice bag becomes thinner due to the reduction of water, soak it in enough water again to ensure its good performance.

4. How long is the insulation time?
It depends on the density of the customer's transport container and the ambient temperature.

5. Does it require special transportation?
It should be noted that this product is non-dangerous goods, but before export, it needs a cargo safety transportation appraisal certificate issued by the Chemical Research Institute and an MSDS certificate. It can be transported in ordinary containers during transportation.

6. Can it directly contact food and medicine? Is it toxic?
The product's ingredients have passed oral toxicity tests and FDA certification, but direct contact with food and drugs is not recommended.
