Marine Propulsion Engine

Dear Sir, There in an International Tender for the following:- a. Supply of 2xmain propulsion engine, 2xfree standing reverse reduction gearbox along with control panels and inter-connecting control cables for engines and gearboxes (Remote control and monitoring in wheelhouse and machinery control room (MCR), local control and mentioning in engine room, monitoring in Bridge. b. Supply of 2xpropeller (FPP), 2xPropeller shafts and other associated fittings including the propeller shaft brackets c. Supply of 2xlubricating oil priming pumps (220 V AC) with starters (If not installed in-built with engines) d. Supply of required engine room, supply blower and exhaust blower (220 V AC) to commensurate with air requirement of the machinery and ventilation system in the engine room e. Supply of one set 415V AC step down transformer for the engine control system f. A rectifier (to convert 220V AC to 24 DC) alongwith detailed technical specification is to be supplied for control and monitoring system g. Supply of batteries, necessary electric cable, self starter, dynamo, battery lub and switches h. Studies related to this re-engineing project production and supply of installation drawings and instructions, supervision of installation, test, trial and commissioning of the propulsion plant and operation and maintenance training. i. The bidder is required to make a clear statement to the effect that the quoted propulsion machinery, i.e.
    the main engines and stern gears and their arrangements are suitable for the ship from ship’s speed, structural strength, vibration and noise signature point of view.
