One du Rib reassures at Vincennes

The last time ONE DU RIB (First de Retzand Bourse de Bellouet) crossed the line first was on the 1st ofDecember 2007, in the Group III Prix Joseph Lafosse at Vincennes.And before that, he'd been through some up-and-down results racingin both disciplines with more or less success.
ONE DU RIB's "music", despite being somewhat disappointing theselast months, is still amazing: Prix de Cornulier (Gr. I) 2007, Prixdu President de la Republique (Gr. I) 2006, just to name two of themost important, and a full bunch of Group II's under saddle.
And seeing the smile on Joel Hallais' face when he crossed the linefirst on Friday night, we all knew that ONE DU RIB was back intoserious business.
Hallais' trotter was unshod for the first time in his career. Hetook the lead of the field almost from the start, witH KINGPRESTIGE (Franck Nivard) on the outside. Going downhill, thefavourite NIMROD BOREALIS (Mathieu Abrivard) came ahead, followedby KING PRESTIGE, LOURMARIN (Pierre Vercruysse) and OPUS VIERVIL(Christophe Gallier).
NOUBA DU SAPTEL (Pascal Geslin) had waited behind the leadersduring the 2.850m trip and came on the outside to join the party upat front. But ONE DU RIB was still leading and still had some gasto burn in the home straight. NIMROD BOREALIS took the secondplace, in front of MORYDIEM (Bruno Marie). ONE DU RIB won in 1'13"2(km rate), at 41-1 at the betting.
The Prix Chambon P was followed by another Group II, the PrixLavater, in which QUINTA DES LUCAS won in 1'15"7 over 2.850m, infront of the favourite QUITA D'ERONVILLE and QUILLE CASTELETS.
