Aiming at the existing problem of resin bonded diamond grinding wheel usually used to grind polycrystalline(PCD) and composite slice (PDC), and combining with the progress of international (mainly is Japan) technology in grinding PCD, PDC, we have researched and developed a new kind of Ceramic Bonded Diamond Grinding Wheel especially for PCD, PDC grinding. Taking the example of PDC grinding of f16 and f19, the comparative data are as followings:



1. The Grinding life is 2.5-3 times more than that of resin bonded grinding wheel, and the grinding life is 3 times more than that of resin bonded grinding wheel for grinding polymeric crystal.



2. The grinding efficiency is about 1.5-2 times more than that of the resin bonded grinding wheel, and the grinding efficiency is 4 times more than that of resin bonded grinding wheel when grinding the polymeric crystal.



3. For grinding precision, the wheel of the PDC angle of taper is generally 0.01mm



4. No pollution and low labor intensity. The Ceramic Grinding Wheel will not produce smoke in the process of grinding; therefore, it can meet the requirement of environmental protection. The ceramic wheel needs no dressing as in the past, thus it has not only lowered the labor intensity, but also exempted the use of any dressing tools. Moreover, the ceramic wheel has much more excellent cutting ability, and small feeding force, thus can extend the service life of grinder.
