Silica fume (also known as microsilica) is produced by electric arc furnaces as a by-product of the production of elemental silicon or ferrosilicon alloys. EBS Silica Fume is produced under strict control according to the Quality Management System of Donglanxing Company, which has been certified according to ISO 9001: 2000.
EBS Silica Fume is characterized by ultrafine spherical shaped particles average diameter: about 0.15 mlarge specific surface(15-30/g),amorphous form, high SiO2 content and high reactivity.
Two types of EBS Silica Fume (EBS Silica Fume for Concretes and Mortars and EBS Silica Fume for Refractories ) are produced in Donglanxing Company.
EBS Silica Fume for Concretes and Motars
Product Introduction:
EBS Silica Fume for Concretes and Mortars, high SiO2 content, large specific surface, high pozzolanic activity.
EBS Silica Fume for Concretes and Motars is produced according to the standard GB/T18736-2002 (Mineral Admixtures for High Strength and High Performance Concrete) ,and ASTM C 1240 Standard Specification for Silica Fume Used in Cementitious Mixtures and each batch of the products is tested by the laboratory of Donlanxing Company to assure the silica fume quality .
EBS Silica Fume for Concretes and Motars is classified in three grades:(Misi,Misiand Misi)

EBS Silica Fume for Refractories , ultrafine spherical shaped paticles, large specific surface, amorphous form, high SiO2 content, low impurity, high reactivity.
To assure deliveries of products with stable and consistent properties for various applications , EBS Silica Fume for Refractories is classified in five grades(SF88,SF90,SF93,SF96 and SF97).

Benefits:
EBS Silica Fume for Refractories used in unshaped refractories
Compared to conventional castables, the use of EBS Silica Fume makes it possible to reduce the required amount of calcium aluminate cement to less than one third and the amount of water required for casting to less than half. As a result, the strength and abrasion resistance of low cement, ultra low cement and cement free castables containing EBS Silica Fume can be much higher than those of conventional castables and the thermal shock resistance and chemical resistance may also be improved.
EBS Silica Fume also improves adhesion in castables and minimizes rebound loss when used in gunned refractory materials
EBS Silica Fume for Refractories used in shaped refractories
The high reactivity of EBS Silica Fume improves the ceramic bonding in the high alumina and magnesite refractory products (forming mullite, forsterite).As a result, the firing temperature can be reduced ,and the strength, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance may also be improved.
