ELASTO RUST CONGUARD (ERC) is a high performance co-ordination polymer, water base, for conversion of rust and then protection of metal from rusting. In fact it converts the rust and protects the metal surface as well.
PERFORMANCE:
ERC works by converting rust into an organo metallic complex protected by a polymer. When buff coloured ERC is applied on a rusted surface it visibly converts rust to a brown, grey or black coloured film within minutes, depending on the degree of corrosion on the surface of the metal. This marks the end of rusting of the metallic surface.
APPLICATION:
In the preparation of the surface ERC will do away with Sand Blasting, Phosphating, Grinding, Polishing, Red oxide Coating etc. Thus saving labour and time. A simple surface preparation is carried out by removing the flaky and loose rust or old paint by the use of a wire brush. Erc accepts all types of Top Coats like enamel, epoxy, polyurethane, polyester etc.
