Description features:Our canvases let you highlight expressive differentials to increase your work's worth. To standardize our products, we have chosen to use raw cotton fabric, a worldwide standard. The next step was to select fabrics exclusively designed for this purpose, with specific characteristics, from spinning to final weaving. Our research indicated a type of cloth with an adequate woof for applying the base primer, providing high resistance to the canvas. We have selected a heavy weight cloth, called cotton duck(1), jute fiber(2) and linen(3) as fabric options. In addition to the care in selecting the adequate fabric, Roquette& Roquette has also applied a high quality primer, resulting in a textured, water repellent surface with excellent adherence and ideal for both oil and acrylic paints. The base primer formula contains elements, such as fungicides and anti-bactericides, that reduce molding, protect your work, and increase its value. One of our basic principles is the conservation of the environment, particularly Brazil's rainforest. Therefore, to make the chassis, we use only recycled or reforested lumber, preventing the cutting of new or native tree species. This is achieved through the careful selection of certified providers. Our export-type products are value-added by utilizing Green Seal certified lumber, available from the Ecomundu line. All the lumber we buy is required to be adequately treated against termites and be hot-house dried. In the Ecomundu line, the canvas is mounted onto the support with stainless steel staples, to prevent oxidation and avoid cloth deterioration and the consequent reduction in value. To protect our products, all canvases are tagged and individually wrapped. Roquette& Roquette makes these lines of canvases: Ecovida - recycled or reforested lumber. Ecomundu - Green Seal certified lumber(export line).(1) Heavy cotton fabric, lighter than sail cloth.
(2) Annual shrub from the tiliaceae family(Corchorus capsularis), native of India, and intensely cultivated in the Amazon to obtain its valuable textile fibers. The plant has serrated and pointed leaves; small yellow flowers; and a capsular fruit with five valves. The stem reaches 16 ft of height and produces fibers when ground in water.
(3) Herb from the linaceae family(Linum usitatissimum), with small, spear-shaped leaves, small and isolated blue flowers, capsular fruits, with seeds that are rich in mucilage and drying oil, highly valued in painting. The stem of this plant produces a fiber, which is very important in the textile industry.
