The core has a weight of 180/gms/m2, it does not rot and is malleable. The core gives the membrane its excellent mechanical properties, allows for good elongation, and affords high resistance to piercing. The chemical resistance of Proofex Torchseal makes it particularly suitable for tanking applications in areas where aggressive ground water conditions prevail. When used as a DPM Proofex Torchseal should be protected by Proofex Guardsheet for walls, and by using a sand/cement screed or fibre cement boards for floors.Size and FinishProofex Torchseal membrane is supplied in rolls 1 X 10 metres. Available in sand finish and as a Slated Mineral Finish for roofing, Grey, Green, Black & Red.* Sand or plain finish must be coated with Resene Silva-lusta, Shell Bituminous Aluminium paint, or equivalent to maintain exterior durability.DurabilityWhen used as a DPM Layer Proofex Torchseal will comply with the 50 year durability requirements of the Building Code.When used as a roofing membrane Proofex Torchseal will have an estimated durability of 20 years when applied as a 2 layer system. It must however be checked annually for any damage etc.
