R-Series Diesel Engine is a family of high speed engine of four-stroke,water-cooled,in-line,direct injection chamber,with good dynamic characteristics,fuel economy as well as excellent starting performance(when the temperature higher than -10,it can be easily started without preheating), and best reliability and service life(the first overhaul period is 8000 hours).



Configuration of Diesel Engine:




1. Cylinder Head&Cover Assembly:



i) Cylinder Head is a single piece casting structure,with inpendent intake and exhaust port on both sides.



ii) The intake port is a helicoid type design



iii) Head Base Wall is different thickness design considering of turbocharged conditions



iiii) A Copper-asbestos is fitted between the cylinder head and the cylinder block.



2. Cylinder Block Assembly:



i) Cylinder Block is short skirt construction without opening



ii) A laser quenched wet cylinder liner is fitted in the upper part of cylinder blcok.



iii)The main bearing at the lower part of cylinder block is a full supporting type.



3. Camshaft Assembly



i) Including camshaft,tappet,pushrod,thrust plate,woodruff key.



ii) The camshaft is full supporting ,the cam is function cam,to adapt different working speed.



4. Piston&Connecting Rod Assembly



i) Including piston,piston pin,connecting rod ,connecting rod bearing and so on



ii) The piston pin is full floating type.



5. Crankshaft&Flywheel Assembly



i)The crankshaft is made of QT800-3 high strength modular cast iron,and is full supporting type.



ii)The front and rear end are sealed by skeleton structure rubber oil seal



6. Transmission system



i)Including normal V-belt transmission and the gear transmission inside gear case



7. Intake&Exhaust System




7.1.Intake pipe



i)Intake pipe incldue center inlet type and both ends inlet type



ii)the center inlet type inlude single hole type and double holes style



7.2.Exhaust pipe



i)The construction of the exhaust pipe is a single-block cast one.



ii)Include two types: one for natural aspirated engine and another one for supercharged engine.



7.3.Air filter



i)Usage: to reduce the wear of cylinder liner,piston,piston rings,valve and other parts



ii)Two structure styles: single stage paper filter element double stages paper filter elemenl style



7.4.Silencer



i)The exhaust gas of the diesel engine expands through the holes of the silencer inner pipes and the noise is reduced.



ii)If the silencer is choked,the output of the diesel engine will drop.



7.5.Turbocharger



i)The turbocharger is combined with constant pressurt single inlet turbine housing or plus double inlet turbine housing ,turbine assembly,blower pump impeller,blower housing and so on.



ii)The turbocharger is a high rotating machine ,its rotating speed will influence the superchargine effect of the diesel engine directly.



8. Fuel System




8.1.Fuel delivery pump



i)The purpose of the fuel delivery pump is to keep the low-pressure fuel pipe full of pressed fuel.



ii)The hand press is used to make the fuel deliver pipe full of fuel and to wipe off oil before the



engines starts.



8.2.Fuel filter



i)The single stage type: CS0708B1,CS0712B1;The double stages type: C0810S



ii)The purpose of the fuel filter is to filter the tiny impurity out of fuel to reduce the wear of the precise mates inside the hing pressure and injector



8.3.High pressure pump



i)It adopted type A of high-pressure pump.



ii)The body of the type A pump is an all-in-one-piece stype



8.4.Governor



i)it adapted a RSV mechanical full range type governor.



ii)Vehicle diesel engine is equipped with a RFD full range double poles type governor.



8.5.Injector



i)R-series diesel engine adopts J series and S series injector,all these two models are spring low installed and low inertia types injector.



9. Lubricating system




i)Oil Pump: Four or Six cylinders engine all use gear type oil pump.



ii)Oil Filter: JX0811A,J1012B type oil filter used to filter the engine lubricating oil ,JO506 typeoil filter used to filter the turbocharger lubricating oil.



iii)Oil cooler: R-series diesel engine adopts pipe&shell type oil cooler



10. Cooling system




i)t adopts close type forced circulation water cooling system.



ii)It includes water pump,fan assembly,thermostate,radiator and so on.



11. Electric system




i)12V and 24V ,two types of electric system,all are single wire with negative pole grounded



.



ii)Battery: when the starting current is highest ,for 12V and 24V starting motor,the voltage drop should be less than 0.5V and 1V respectively.



iii)Silicon rectified dynamo: Jfseries silicon rectified dynamo is adopted in the diesel



engine ,include types of JF 1312YE,JF2312YE,JF2512YE and so on.



iiii)Voltage regulator



iv)Starting motor: full closed direct current series excitation motor.
