Our aim is to be the leading crafts promoter in Kenya and East Africa. We believe that in promoting local crafts we also spread our culture and present it to the world as our unique identity and heritage. We are spreading through trade the rich crafts we have in Kenya.
Vision
Ultimately, our goal is to make an impact on poverty eradication by supporting and promoting the people who make cultural crafts by not only selling and advertising on their behalf but also help them reach their dreams by what they do.
Iwaly Crafts began as a youth initiative group in Ngummo, Nairobi in the year 2005. We managed to organize crafts makers in Ngummo and Maasai Market to form a uniform front for selling their handicrafts and we saw the progress they made. Together, they were able to consolidate their market and increase their income. This became the driving force behind the formation of Iwaly Crafts.
As an organization, Iwaly Crafts has managed to make strategic alliances with leading crafts makers in Kenya. We are located at Kahawa Sukari Shopping Centre.
In the years to come, we strive to grow into a leading crafts promoter in East Africa. We also intend to start a crafts exhibition that we shall market as annual tourist attraction.
